Might work: within the Rockstar launcher there is a Settings menu (top right). Navigate to it via Program Files > Rockstar Games > GTA V > Redistributibles > Direct X and then click on DXSETUP to update Direct X You essentially need to run the Direct X setup again. Works for others: this one seems to work for a number of people given the comments online. I finally found this solution as I noticed that Google Chrome had no sound either and that was where I noticed this fix. Check if the sound is muted and if so, unmute. GTA V needs to be running or it won’t appear. Worked (for me): as per the video, right mouse on the audio icon in the bottom toolbar, open up the ‘Volume Mixer’ menu. So, I’ll start with the fix that worked for me and then list some of the other solutions for no sound that I researched:
